Are we sure they didn't? Who is supplying their magnetic ride components? If it's Delphi (or whatever they go by now) it's entirely possible that it's a GM part number or a variation of it.

I'm not familiar with the automotive industry, but in aviation we will use the same suppliers as our competition with variations of the same components sometimes (engines are an obvious example, but flight control actuators can be shared).

Let's not pretend that Ford came up with it all by themselves until we know the facts

Oh I'm not implying they ground up built a new magnetic ride, but I also don't know that they parts binned it.

Suppliers very frequently cross brand in the automotive industry so you're not far off on that. I just have a feeling that this was a specific build for the GT350

Agreed, GM has been refining MRC since 2002. Theyve gotten pretty good at it. Its on its 3rd generation. So even if they don't exactly have GM part numbers on the shocks/struts, height sensors, modules, etc. They licensed the technology from them. Like Ferrari, Acura, and several others.

We are both saying the same thing, but you're trying to differentiate Ford's system from GM's.

We won't know what we know til we know it. At some point we could learn where the system is coming from for the GT350 and it could show a close tie in with the GM system. It might not. Either way we shouldn't ignore the fact that MRC was originally a GM technology, and Ford employing it for the first time is kind of a big deal. It's not a bad thing, but on both sides we need to check our fanboyism and recognize the value in utilizing advanced technologies across the board.

That being said, I will still joke that Ford had to mimic GM to compete with GM, implying they have surrendered at least one piece of the pony car wars: GM wins at suspension and handling (mustang switched to IRS, which Camaro had, and added MRC, which Camaro had)

Do we know how much these will cost? I was thinking if the CTS-V keeps going (will it? I don't know) then the ATS-V will probably have to come in just over 50k to keep from stealing sales from the CTS. Will the GT350 be priced similarly to the GT500 of the previous years? If these turn out to be true they will be great bargains...

Well the CTSV coupe and sedan start at 64,900 and the ATS Coupe starts at 37,995 and goes all the way up to 60 in options.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was high 50s to low 60s
